Carver County MN is a south central Minnesota just southwest of Minneapolis, and is seated in Chaska. Carver County is also home to the municipalities of Chanhassen, Carver (city,) Victoria, Waconia, Watertown, Mayer, New Germany, Norwood Young America, Hamburg, and Cologne.

According to the US Census, the county has a population of about 70,000 and covers an area ofi about 376 square miles. The County was named for an explorer named Jonathan Carver, and was first settled by German immigrants in the mid 1800′s. Significant recreational lakes include Lake Minnewashta, Lake Riley, Lotus Lake, and Lake Waconia.
