Carver is the oldest town in Carver County. Its current population is estimated at approximately 1900, and its approximate size is 3.82 square miles, or almost 2500 acres. Most of CarverĀ“s “Core City” or old part of town is on the National Register of Historic Places with almost 100 homes, buildings, and structures, listed.
City Parks include: Gazebo Park (downtown at Broadway and 3rd); Community Park (6th St and Cty Rd 147) with three baseball fields, skating rink, and playground ? and many more amenities soon to come; Lions Park (Lime St), with a playground, ice-skating rink, tennis/basketball court, softball field, and shelter; Riverside Park (E Main St), with public access to the Minnesota River; and Carver Bluffs Park (Cty Rd 40 in Carver Bluffs development), with baseball, picnic shelter, parking, and access to recreational trails.

Carver Homes and Townhomes
The Carver MLS system offers everything from older historic homes along the Minnesota River, to newer upscale yuppie mansions with sky-high foyers, two story living room ceilings, state of the art appliances, three car garages, and lots that offer plenty of room for the kids to play. On the bluffs, you can find homes with small acreage that allow horses. There are usually a few split-entry homes in Carver available that were built by Novak Fleck in the 90’s for sale on the MLS. Prices range from about 250k on up. Occasionally you might find a nice new or newer Centex two-story for under 500k. New or newer construction by Hans Hagen, Lennar, Ryan Homes, Hans Hagen, or J Philips Contstruction with granite countertops, maple cabs can be found on developments like Carver Ridge, Carver Creek, or Carver Bluffs. Look for new or newer two-story townhome built by Centex, Argus Chandler on the west end of town.

Carver is in Independent School District #112 and now serves over 7,800 students in twelve buildings and anticipates more growth. District #112 offices are located in Chaska at 11 Peavey Road (556-6100).
