On the eastern bonnie bonnie banks of Cross Lake lies the shining city of Crosslake Minnesota. Is this confusing? Yes. The city is spelled as two words, and the lake is spelled as one word. This is especially confusing to REALTORS(R) because many of them have spelling issues.
Crosslake MN is located in Crow Wing County is home to a series of lakes known as the Whitefish Chain, and is also home to about 1 zillion big fat Minnesota walleyes
Crosslake Minnesota Real Estate for Sale
At the time of this post, there are approximately six dozen single family homes for sale here, about half of which are rambler style. If you are an aging baby boomer (like me) and you want to avoid a lot of stairs, this might be a good place for you to start looking and living. The average asking price of these homes is about $550K, with prices ranging from approximately 50K (mobile homes) to 2M (lakefront estates.) Average finished square feet is around 2500, and the average year built, at the time of this post, is reported by the Northstar Regional MN MLS at about 2126. This either means that the residents are living in a time warp, or some of the local Crow Wing County real estate agents did not enter the year-built data field correctly. Townhomes and condos are starting to catch on; at the time of this post, the Northstar Regional MLS posted 10 active townhome/condo listings. Average list price for Crosslake townhomes are about $246,170, making this a more affordable option. Crosslake MN homes are attainable; rates are low, and affordability index is high. Whether you own Crosslake lakefront or a more modest property in town, you will have easy access to all of the excellent MN walleye fishing on Cross Lake and the rest of the Whitefish Chain of Lakes.
