Eagan is the 8th largest suburb in Minnesota, and is located about 20 miles southeast of Minneapolis, and just 10 minutes south of St. Paul. Eagan Homes for Sale

While browsing the Eagan MLS, I noticed that there are about 200 single family homes currently for sale. It is still possible to get a starter-home for about 200k, but it will need work. Average list price of current homes is about $390,000. This figure is a bit skewed by the large inventory of homes in the 600’s and 700’s. Newer homes are available right now in addtions like Murphy Farm, Sweet Place, Oak Bluff, Marcella Woods, Kennerick, Water’s Edge, Steeplechase of Eagan, Oakbrooke, and Stonecliffe.

Townhomes and Condos in Eagan MN

Airline pilots and flight attendants love the convenient location and carefree lifestyle of townhomes and condos in Eagan. A short drive across the river on Hwy 77 gets you to the MSP airport and Mall of America. Eagan is strategically located within a short reach of both Minneapolis and St Paul downtowns! There are some great Centex townhomes along Hwy 13 near Cedar that are less than 10 years old, affrordable, have nine foot ceilings in the kitchen and dining areas, attached garages, kitchen islands, all appliances, and the end units have soaring vaults, a loft overlooking the living room, walk-thru master bath, a huge master suite with a huge walk-in closet, skylights, a true dining room, corner gas fireplaces, extra parking spots, and low association fees that include snow/lawn, outside maintenance, hazard insurance, water and sewer. There are also some entry-level priced Pulte townhomes and Rottlund units along Diffley near Cedar, which gives you very easy access to the metro areas.
There are plenty of nice condos on Blue Jay Way and near the area of Cliff and Highway 13. Silver Bell Road has hundreds of condos that are all affordably priced. Many include the use of a guest room and swimming pool. These units are a great way to get started in real estate ownership. And don’t forget.. you don’t need any cash to purchase these either. There are numerous zero down and down payment assistance programs available for you.

There are also a number of neighborhoods in the Eagan MN real estate market that offer rambler style twin homes with walkout basements. A development at Diffley and Cedar built by Town and Country offers townhomes that are only a few years old, including end units, look-thrus, and one or two car units. Convenience shopping is nearby.
