Albertville - This is a town that was put on the map by an outlet mall. However, it is situated on the growth corridor between Minneapolis and St. Cloud Minnesota along I94. This could be a good place to invest in Minnesota real estate.

Andover - This town may have received its name after a steam engine fell into the river and went “over and over and over”

Anoka - This older suburb of Minneapolis is known as the “Halloween Capital of the World.”

Apple Valley - This is the home that Orrin Thompson built in the 1970’s. He planted an apple tree with every home he built. This thriving city is now is brimming with townhomes and mega-stores.

Arden Hills - About one third of this city is occupied by the U.S. Army Ammunition Plant. Don’t let that scare you away… this beautiful city has plans for redeveloping part of this land. Arden Hills MN is home to Bethel University.

Belle Plaine - The name means “Beautiful Prairie” and this town is situated along the Minnesota River Valley amidst apple orchards, pumpkin patches, and pie stores.

Blaine -This sprawling northern suburb has landscape that looks like a large billiard table. Great values for homes and townhomes are found here, and easily make up for the topography!

Bloomington -This is the second largest city in Minnesota and is known world-wide for the Mall of America. This Minnesota real estate market contains everything from starter homes built in the 50’s to executive estates perched on the Minnesota River bluffs.

Brooklyn Center - This northern suburb of Minneapolis is situated on the Mississippi River and his home to 522 acres of park systems, a diverse real estate market, and an eclectic business economy

Brooklyn Park - This second tier northern suburb of Minneapolis is the sixth largest town in the state. This is a great place to buy a home. The market is huge!

Burnsville - Former Irish farming town that now has over 2200 businesses, Buck Hill Ski Area, a mall that is much more convenient for your Christmas shopping than the MOA, and about 2200 acres of parks.

Carver - Historic and scenic town, part of which is built of Chaska Brick and sits on the old Minnesota flood plain. Upscale new homes are being built on the west end. Many people move here to benefit from the Chaska School District 112, but find homes are much cheaper here than they are in Chaska.

Champlin - This is third tier suburb located along the west side of the Mississippi. Local historians believe that this is where Father Hennepin made his crossing of the River in 1680.

Chanhassen real estate - Chanhassen is located in Carver County and is home to “The Artist Formerly Known as Prince.” It is probably more well known for being the home of Independent Brokers Realty headquarters. Independent Brokers is a large, well established full service, family owned Minnesota real estate company with about 350 agents.

Chaska - This town is the county seat of Carver County MN. It literally started as a clay hole that was used to make the popular Chaska Brick that was responsible for the construction of many farm homes around here. This ended when the clay hole flooded. The old part of town sits on the old Minnesota River flood plain, and suffered disasterous floods until the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers completed a dike project in recent years.

Coon Rapids - Contrary to a recent opinion expressed by some citizens, the town was named such because this was a spot where racoons were frequently seen washing their food here. Efforts were made to change the name ot the town, but the name still stays. However, the city changed its emblem to an oak leaf. Go figure.

Eagan - This is a great place to buy a townhome or condo. The city is just south of the airport, the Mall of America, and has easy access to both downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul. Pilots, airline attendants, and other people who work at the airport love to buy these units, especially along Cedar Avenue.

Eden Prairie real estate - This city is frequently requested by out-of-town buyers because of its highly reputed school district. This is the home of Bearpath, an extravagant gated community with its own golf course, and one of the few gated communities in the Minnesota real estate market.

Edina - This is one of the most upscale communities around. Home prices are high, but tend to appreciate here.

Elko New Market - This town is located on the outer edge of Scott County, and is home to the Elko Speedway, a significant attraction for this area. This town is actually the result of the recent merger of two smaller towns. The town benefits from its location adjacent to Interstate 35.

Farmington - This is the outer southern “x-burb” of Minneapolis. You will probably get a newer and larger home for your money than most metro Minnesota suburbs.

Forest Lake. This rapidly growing northern Washington County town has a fabulous lake.

Fridley- This city has about 27000 inhabitants, and is home to many major Twin Cities employers. This is a particulary healthy business community.

Ham Lake - This town was named by Scandinavians who couldn’t pronounce the original name of the town, so they named it after a lake that was shaped like a ham!

Hopkins- This town is the place to go if you want to find a very large selection of affordable townhomes and condominiums for sale.

Jordan - Scenic town just a few minutes south of Minneapolis along Hwy 169, is a quaint but growing community along the Minnesota River. Be sure to check out the apple stores around here in the fall for pies and treats.

Lakeville real estate - This rapidly growing city in Dakota county will have a population of 56,000 by 2010! Lakeville is frequently noted by national publications for its schools and high quality of life.

Maple Grove - This town is located along the confluences of 494 and I94, hosts great shopping, and has some fabulous, fully recreational lakes. Look for lakeshore real estate opportunities in this town.

Maplewood real estate and homes for sale. Called the “most dysfunctional suburb in the metro.”

Mendota Heights - This is a gorgeous little town located along the eastern bank of the Mississippi across from the airport, with easy access to all metro locations.

Minneapolis real estate - This is my hometown and is known as the “City of Lakes.” Bored suburbanites drive here to enjoy the bike trails, lakes and parkways in the summer. This is a clean city full of folks that are “Minnesota Nice.” It is also known for the infamous Metrodome, the hideous inflatable stadium of the Minnesota Twins, which is soon to be replaced by a new structure to the west of the Target Center, home of the T- Wolves. Too bad the stadium won’t have a retractable roof.

Minnetonka - This western suburban community is located along the banks of Grays Bay, which is part of a very large lake called Lake Minnetonka. Lake Minnetonka is the premier recreation lake for the Twin Cities.

Minnetrista. If you think of Minnetrista real estate, you are probably thinking about horse farms, luxury lake homes on Lake Minnetonka on Palmers Point, or maybe you are just thinking about walleyes.

Mound - This is an eclectic real estate market that is surrounded by trees, hills, elegant homes, and numerous points and bays of Lake Minnetonka

New Brighton - This is a residential community that lacks shopping districts, but it doesn’t matter because the town is equidistant to both downtown Minneapois and St. Paul

New Hope - This is a close suburb to Minneapolis, and is absolutely loaded with recreational opportunites. Homes are extremely affordable here. This is a great place to make your first investment in Minnesota real estate.

North Oaks - This town is even more upscale than Edina. Average sales prices for single family homes are in the mid 800’s. You won’t be able to find anything under 300k here.

Otsego - This is the town that was saved by Ginseng! You will just have to click the link to read more.

Plymouth - This thriving town of 68,000 residents has managed to maintain the natural beauty of an area blessed with trees, rolling hills, and lakes.

Prior Lake real estate - If you live anywhere in this town, you won’t have to drive far to launch a boat. Better yet, lets go shopping for a nice lake home for you.

Richfield - Postwar boom town south of Minneapolis that headquarters some major national retailers here. There are plenty of rambler style homes to choose from here.

Robbinsdale - Family friendly atmosphere with shopping and great residentail areas. If you visit the Robbinsdale Farm and Garden, and other shops in the area, you will be hooked.

Rosemount - This is a town just 15 miles south of Minneapolis, and enjoys a much-celebrated school district, and plenty of affordable new home construction options.

Roseville - If you don’t like property taxes, this town is for you. Roseville is famous for low real estate taxes.

Savage - This is a town that grew up around grain distribution, due to the railroad and the Minnesota River. The town has a city hall that sort of looks like a grain bin!

Shakopee real estate - Buy a home here BEFORE you visit Mystic Lake Casino! Tremendous residential growth and commercial development here.

Shoreview - Strategically located town just minutes from downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul, with major routes facilitating business opportunities here. Shoreview is headquarters for many major employers in the area.

St. Louis Park- This city rates high for resident satisfaction and is also nationally known for its rich quality of life.

St. Paul - This is the Minnesota State Capitol city and the cultural center for the Midwest, hosting such landmark facilities as the Ordway and the Fitzgerald theaters.

Tonka Bay - Former mecca for tourists to Lake Minnetonka, this is a great community to go shopping for Minnesota lakeshore real estate.

Vadnais Heights - This was an agriculturally based community that is rapidly becoming a haven for commercial development.

Victoria - Known as “A City of Lakes and Parks” and is home to Carver’s 1800 acre park reserve.

Waconia - Western suburban Minnesota real estate market along Hwy 5 with an excellent fishing and sailing lake of the same name.

Wayzata - Known as the “Jewel of Lake Minnetonka” and is still a popular vacation spot with plenty of natural beauty and unique shopping boutiques.

Watertown - This commuter town in Carver County is mostly residential in character and offers some of the most affordable housing opportunities to be found in the western suburbs.

White Bear Lake - If you like fishing, golfing, and affortable home prices, you should relocate here.

Woodbury - Home of many major employers for the Twin Cities, including The Hartford, Assurant, Target, and Land ‘O Lakes.
