This 223 acre lake in Maple Grove, Hennepin County MN boasts a maximum depth of 48 feet and a littoral area of about 45 acres. Milfoil is present in this lake and it gets a little green in late summer; water clarity is 2.7 feet. Due to a lack of dissolved oxygen at deeper levels, the fish stay above 13 feet during late summer.

Fishing
For a metro lake, Fish Lake offers some fairly good fishing. The largemouths aren’t especially huge, but they are abundant. If you want to catch some, use some black plastic worms on the northeast end of the lake. You can also catch northern pike by using spoons along the weed opening. The black crappie in this lake are below average in numbers, but above average in size. Fish found in lesser numbers are bowfin, brown bullheads, pumpkinseed sunfish, and hybrid sunfish.
