Lotus Lake is a 245 acre fully recreational lake located in Chanhassen in Carver County Minnesota. The lake boasts a water clarity of 3.5 feet as well as a large number of bass, sunnies, and northerns. Walleyes are managed here, and this is an excellent fishery for them, yielding plenty of them that are just big enough to eat. If you are looking for walleye, head for the deepest spots first and bring some fatheads or shiners, then check out the sand point on the east side. Want bass? Try weedlines with plastic worms. As long as you are at the weedlines, use some big sucker minnows with slip-bobbers to catch northern pike. Sunnies? They are just about everywhere, but you don’t need to fish very deep to find them. You may do best in about four feet of water. There is a city-owned public access on the south end of the lake. The 3.4 miles of shoreline graced with surrounding hills and trees make a very picturesque setting for MN lake property. Public shore fishing is found on the west side of the lake, off of Carver Co Hwy 17.

If you are looking for MN lake homes, you sure picked a smart time to do it. Prices are excellent, but if you want something right on the lake, don’t drag your feet or you will be too late. Remember- if you like a particular house, you can bet that someone else is liking it too! At the time of this post, the Northstar Regional Chanhassen MN MLS statistics indicates that there are only three Lotus Lake lakeshore properties for sale. The good news is that all three of them are well under 1M. People find it hard to believe that you can get a nice lakeshore property on a prime Minnesota lake under 600K that is this close to Minneapolis. Average asking price for these homes is only $599,967!
Lake Homes with Deeded Access.
Sometimes, buyers prefer deeded access to a lake over actual lakefront, because they want to reduce property taxes and avoid the shoreline mainenance. Generally, there are one or two homes with Lotus lake deeded access, often in the 500-600K price range.
