It’s true. This northwestern Minneapolis suburb enjoys an incredible location along the north part of the 494 loop, right where it ends at Interstate 94. It’s easy to get anywhere in the metro area, and you really don’t have to leave town to find major shopping at major retail venues like Arbor Lakes, among others. In fact, there is even a thriving Farmer’s Market that is host to about 60 vendors, with storytelling, and a fabulous variety of fresh produce. If you want to check it out, visit the Community Center during the summer on Thursdays at the Community Center.

The recreational outlets you need are all here too, including some nice, fully recreational likes, most notably Weaver Lake. You don’t need to haul a boat up to northern Minnesota to enjoy some of the best water skiing and fishing in the state.

Townhouses in Maple Grove Minnesota

Every darn webpage about every darn city will say something like “our market offers a wide variety of choices in every price range.” However, it is especially true in Maple Grove. There are a large number of quad Maple Grove townhomes that come with decks, walkout basements with patios, fireplaces, big family rooms in the lower level, and plenty of trees and broad grassy areas. Some of them are even quite dog-friendly. The quads have an advantage over some of the newer side-by-side townhomes because most of the newer homes have a living room, but no additional living spaces for entertainment or amusement rooms for the kids. Some of the newer side-by-side units have a front door that opens directly into the living room, and there you have it. You have to go crunch-crunch on a bunch of toys before you can even get to the kitchen.

At the time of this writing, there were 198 Maple Grove MN townhomes and condos for sale, offered for an average price of $211,457. What makes Maple Grove townhouses so attractive is that they are considerably cheaper than the townhomes in Plymouth, which is just to the south. I am not sure what Plymouth has over Maple Grove that it commands higher prices, because it really is not that much closer to the Twin Cities metro area.

However, if you are willing to spend a little bit, there are some nice Maple Grove detached townhomes and twin homes going up near the north end of Eagle Lake that can be purchased in the $600’s or $700s. For mid-range townhomes with living facilities on one level, there are quite a few options, most notably in The Shores of Elm Creek and Chapel Wood that provide views of pond and wildlife.

Almost every major builder is represented here, and there are plenty of townhomes that are less than 15 years old built by Centex, Pulte, Town&Country, and others.
