St. Paul MN Real Estate

Saint Paul Minnesota may be the capital city, but it still has that old world charm. Take a drive down Summit Avenue, and you will see the longest continuous stretch of Victorian mansions that you will ever find. Then follow Summit Avenue to the traditional archtecture featured by the St. Paul Cathedral. Don’t forget to visit the historic downtown buildings, including the Fitzgerald Theater, the Landmark Center, the St. Paul Hotel, and, of course, the State Capitol building.

Landmark Center

But the 21st Century did not leave St. Paul behind. The old town pulses with new econmic and cultural activity, as evidenced by the Science Museum of Minnesota, the Xcel Energy Center, and much more. Downtown shopping is fabulous because enclosed pedestrian skyways connect most of downtown, which is a real boon during winter months.

And then there is the outdoors. Saint Paul is situated on the bluffs overlooking the Mississipi river that surrounds the whole area. The Harriet Island Regional Parks works well for everything from large outdoor concerts by major artists to a small family picnic. The rest of the city is loaded with parks and lakes plus beautiful gardens at the Como Zoo.

If you really want to have some fun, check out St. Paul Saints baseball. It’s REAL baseball played on a real outdoor ballfield. Way more fun than a Twins game. And the food is way better. Or, head back down to the Xcel Energy Center for an exciting hockey game hosted by the Minnesota Wild. Check out Roller Derby in the Roy Wilkins Auditorium in the spring. Watch the Atomic Bombshells and the Dolly Daggers knock each other out of the rink. Then go get a burger at Mickey’s Diner.
